Do you even know what’s in your glove box? I didn’t. I went to get a napkin out of mine the other day and I couldn’t find one because there were so many papers and old receipts shoved inside there. I decided to figure out a solution, besides just cleaning it out. I wanted it to actually stay clean for once. Just like anything you organize, you have to put a system in place, so you’re able to maintain it.
Naturally, I took to the aisles of The Container Store to find a system. That’s when I came across this set of zippered pouches for only $8.
Before you say, “Who has the time to do this?” I’m a firm believer in multi-tasking. I did this project in 15 minutes while watching The Bachelor season finale. You can usually always find a few minutes to better yourself, if you just look at how you’re really spending your time.
SUPPLIES:
First, I emptied everything out of my glove box into a grocery bag and brought it in the house with me. This way, I didn’t have to sit in my car to go through everything and instead, I did it later that night while watching reality tv.
After throwing away old receipts and random straw wrappers, I was left with what was going to go back in my glove box. I then organized the remaining items into categories. These were the categories that worked for me:
I also got this matching pouch for pens to keep in the center console.
After printing and placing the labels on the pouches, I placed clear Scotch tape over them. The labels don’t stick that well to the mesh pouches, but the tape keeps them securely attached.
Just like that your glove box is organized in less than 15 minutes. A super easy way to get a little more organized.
